Serenity In The Storm
Do you feel the need to smile?
Come on now try it a while.
Frowning hurts, so give your face a rest.
It's easy to do when you're feeling your best.
Shunning all that do you ail,
with a friend you cannot fail.
And when you know the mood is right,
your heart will fill with such delight.
Watching the storm from up on a loft.
A friends hand touches you so soft.
You guard comes down so you can release,
all that inner strength and winning peace.
You know in you heart what you must find,
a word so perfect, enlightened, and kind.
to express to the world your love and your care,
but none comes to mind as none can compare
to the feelings inside of love and trust
breath in deep, to do what you must.
The storm is just now, starting to end.
At last you can say it, you are my friend
Written for my sister Ann for a school project in early 2002 but my inspiration was because Ann thinks she is alone in this world and struggled all her life to make ends meet. I love you Ann!
